Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you will steer commercial performance for a well-established drylining contractor in Essex. You will work with cross-functional teams to manage cost, quality and schedule, ensuring targets are met across commercial, residential, healthcare and education projects. You’ll lead cashflow planning, valuations and risk/opportunity assessment, shaping project outcomes. Your work will support senior management and client relationships, contributing to the firm’s growth and project success.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial reports and advise management
• Ensure project targets for cost, quality and schedule are achieved
• Delegate tasks and monitor project progress with the team
• Prepare cashflows for payments (in/out)
• Carry out measurements for valuations
• Identify opportunities and risks
• Attend post-tender and pre-contract meetings

Key requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Drylining sector
• Proven track record of delivering construction projects
• Excellent communication and oral skills
• Comfortable liaising with Clients and Senior Management
