Senior Quantity Surveyor – Main Contracting – New Build Housing

Overview

In this Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you will lead commercial activities for a c.£8m new build residential scheme and contribute to a growing regional portfolio. You join a settled commercial team and will work on housing schemes for Housing Associates across Surrey, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. You’ll manage cost control, procurement and contractual administration to protect margin and ensure timely delivery. Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of an 8m+ residential scheme (cost control, budgeting and forecasting)
• Procurement and subcontractor management for the project
• Value engineering and change management to protect programme and budget
• Prepare and present commercial reports and cash-flow forecasts
• Assist in monthly/quarterly financial close and project handover documentation
• Collaborate with project team to support timely delivery and risk mitigation
• Maintain accurate records and prepare final account for the scheme

Key requirements

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on new build residential schemes
• Proven track record delivering housing projects (Housing Associates preferred)
• Ability to cover schemes across Surrey, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire
• Stable employment history with relevant project experience
• Knowledge of cost control, procurement and contract administration
