Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will deliver cost management across projects from inception to completion, supporting the Aberdeen office within a respected construction consultancy. You’ll work with senior colleagues and clients to manage budgets, tenders, contracts, and financial reporting, across sectors. This is a growth-focused opportunity to deepen consultancy experience in a collaborative team. You’ll build strong client relationships while contributing to a diverse project portfolio across Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and feasibility studies
• Manage tender processes and procurement strategies
• Produce contract documentation and administer contracts
• Cost reporting and financial management throughout project lifecycles
• Conduct valuations, manage variations and final accounts negotiations
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Support delivery of projects across multiple sectors

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Previous quantity surveying experience in a consultancy/PQS environment
• Strong understanding of pre-contract and post-contract cost management
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• MRICS status or chartered would be advantageous
• Full UK driving licence desirable
