Senior Medical Writer

Overview

In this Senior Medical Writer role, you contribute to shaping medical communication strategies for pharma and biotech clients. You’ll craft high-quality publications and client-ready content, lead junior team members, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure scientific accuracy and timely delivery. The position sits within Medical Scientific Services, aligning scientific writing with business goals and client needs. You will build expertise across therapy areas and drive content quality and credibility.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly to diverse audiences across print and digital media and identify therapy-area updates
• Bridge medical/regulatory milestones to the team and clients and spot new business opportunities
• Provide feedback to junior staff and keep senior management updated on project status and risks
• Manage multiple projects across accounts, respecting timelines and budgets
• Ensure quality control and adherence to internal review processes
• Lead client meetings and present complex data to varied stakeholders
• Collaborate with external suppliers and medical experts to develop high-quality content
• Develop junior colleagues through direction, feedback, and skill transfer
• Take initiative for personal and team development and manage tasks beyond the job description
• Adhere to company policies and best practices in all activities

Key requirements

• Degree level in a relevant science subject or 3 years’ relevant experience
• Experience in medical writing, specifically Publications work
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken
