NQ Family Lawyer

Overview

In this role you will join a busy, well-regarded family team in Huddersfield to handle a broad spectrum of family and matrimonial matters. You will focus on divorce and domestic abuse protection orders, with exposure to children law and financial aspects of family cases. The role welcomes a broad range of experience from NQ to 5PQE and is open to solicitors or legal executives. You’ll benefit from a supportive environment in a Yorkshire-based firm with opportunities for development, including potential Resolution accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Handle a range of family and matrimonial matters with emphasis on divorce and domestic abuse protection orders
• Advise on children law issues and associated financial considerations arising from family cases
• Manage casework with a focus on high-quality client service and risk management
• Collaborate with colleagues to support complex proceedings in a busy family team
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Yorkshire family and matrimonial market (advantageous)

Key requirements

• NQ to 5PQE in family law
• Qualified solicitor or CILEX
• Experience in Divorce, Domestic Abuse, and Children Law; financial matters experience is a plus
• Resolution membership or accreditation is advantageous
• Ambitious and capable of working in a supportive team
