Contracts Manager required in Essex

Overview

In this role you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of multiple build, fit-out and refurbishment projects for a well-established Colchester contractor. You will coordinate with clients, consultants and internal teams to ensure project targets are met on time, within budget and to high quality and safety standards. You will lead project teams through the construction lifecycle and participate in regular site visits and progress meetings. This role offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative, quality-driven business with a strong client base and ongoing projects across Commercial, Hospitality, Education and Healthcare sectors.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of multiple build, fit-out/refurb projects
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Monitor project timelines, budgets and quality standards
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings
• Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed on site
• Lead and support project teams throughout the construction lifecycle

Key requirements

• Previous experience in a Contracts Manager position working for a Main contractor
• Proven experience working on multiple fit out and refurbishment projects
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred
• Full UK driving licence
