Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of private family law matters
• Handle divorce, financial remedy, and private law children work
• Draft pleadings, agreements, and complex court documents
• Conduct advocacy when appropriate and negotiate settlements
• Utilise dispute resolution and maintain high client care standards
• Ensure compliance and effective file management
• Develop client relationships with counsel and professionals
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team growth

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive with at least 5 years PQE
• Comprehensive experience across private family law areas
• Ability to manage a complex, sensitive caseload with minimal supervision
• Strong knowledge of family law and procedure
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Confident, compassionate client communication
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Solutions-focused, client-centered approach
• Desirable: Resolution member, accredited mediator, or collaborative lawyer
