As a Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer in Goodwin’s Global Operations, you will be the resident expert on UK corporate governance, M&A, and related restructurings. You’ll embed with practice leaders to deliver high‑quality legal know‑how, model documents, and data‑driven insights that support cross‑functional teams. You’ll drive efficiency through legal project management, AI‑assisted processes, and client‑facing tools while contributing to training and thought leadership. This role blends legal expertise with knowledge management to elevate practice delivery on a global stage.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain model documents, precedents, forms, and checklists for corporate practices, accessible on firm platforms
Act as a source of legal, market, and practical expertise; collect data on equity investments and M&A for analysis and benchmarking
Monitor legal developments and assist in drafting external client alerts
Participate in corporate transactional training initiatives for associates and trainees
Collaborate with K&I to enhance efficiency and legal service delivery, including document assembly, AI due diligence, and client-facing applications
Share best practices in K&I team meetings and perform other duties as requested
Contribute to corporate transactional business development through thought leadership and client engagements
Key requirements
England & Wales qualified solicitor
6+ years’ experience in a leading city firm with strong corporate law reputation
Experience managing, structuring, and negotiating mergers and acquisitions for private equity and VC clients
Passion for knowledge-sharing and excellence in legal work
