Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor within the @One Alliance, you will act as the commercial conscience for the delivery teams, guiding cost control and value optimisation. You will support project management and site teams while ensuring governance and safety standards are met. You’ll drive robust forecasting, reporting and cost analysis to inform commercial decisions and protect commercial interests. This role centers on delivering complex infrastructure work within a collaborative alliance, shaping efficient, compliant delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management for projects or programmes.
• Ensure robust cost management processes with accurate reporting, data and analysis.
• Support commercial decision‑making through forecasting and cost control.
• Ensure project teams understand contractual arrangements and partner requirements.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to identify and monitor efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain accurate commercial records, including final accounts, for audits and cost assurance

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in cost and commercial management
• Degree (or equivalent) in a commercial, engineering, management or cost discipline is desirable
• Strong passion for a career in Commercial Management
• Confident communicator with first‑class customer service and leadership skills
• In‑depth knowledge of construction and safety standards
• Comfortable challenging processes to drive continuous improvement
