Advisory Consultant (Social Value)

Overview

As Advisory Consultant (Social Value) you drive social value across major infrastructure projects within the EED Team. You will shape action plans, monitor progress, and report outcomes to clients while managing relationships with stakeholders and contractors. The role supports business development and shares best practices to elevate social value delivery. You join a global firm delivering critical infrastructure and sustainable legacies, with opportunities to influence projects from planning to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support social value work across multiple infrastructure projects
• Create social value action plans and coordinate delivery of initiatives
• Develop and maintain monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track targets
• Produce client-ready social value reports using established frameworks
• Manage day-to-day client relationships and third-party contractors
• Provide guidance to clients to enhance social value delivery and share best practices
• Support new social value business development and proposal preparation

Key requirements

• Proven experience in social value work within a consultancy or client organisation
• Knowledge of Public Sector Services Act 2012, PPN 001 & PPN 002 and related planning/infrastructure/regeneration legislation
• Experience writing social value tender submissions and supporting work-winning activities
• Experience engaging with partners or stakeholders (employment/education organisations, social enterprises, charities)
• Data analysis, management and presentation skills (strong Excel; experience with Social Value Portal TOMs and THRIVE advantageous)
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, including leading meetings
