Valuation Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will join a respected Scottish property consultancy in Glasgow to lead commercial valuations and related advisory work. You will work within a high-quality valuation team on secured lending, Red Book valuations, and portfolio work for lenders and institutions, with clear progression toward Director level. You’ll engage directly with clients, manage relationships, and contribute to business development, all within a supportive, collaborative environment. Responsibilities

• Conduct commercial valuations for secured lending and bank panel instructions
• Prepare Red Book compliant valuations across office, industrial, retail and mixed-use assets
• Carry out portfolio valuations for lenders and institutional clients
• Perform development and investment valuations
• Value loan security for banks, building societies and debt funds
• Direct client engagement and relationship management
• Possibly contribute to business development depending on seniority

Key requirements

• MRICS qualified (essential at Senior level and above)
• RICS Registered Valuer
• Strong experience in commercial valuation / secured lending
• Experience in a consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of Red Book standards
• Excellent report writing and client-facing skills
