Sustainability Reporting Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the annual sustainability reporting cycle across UK and EU regimes, applying a unified process for UK, TCFD, UK SDR, and CSRD disclosures. You work closely with the Sustainable Development Director and cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate, and well-supported disclosures and assurance. You will translate material topics into disclosure workstreams and manage the end-to-end governance, data aggregation, and stakeholder alignment. This is a hands-on, collaborative position that drives the reporting programme and supports external assurance and framing of sustainability content.

Responsibilities

• Run the annual reporting timetable end to end with kick-off, mid-cycle, and pre-sign-off checkpoints
• Support framework-specific subprocesses (e.g., climate scenario analysis, CSRD double materiality, EU Taxonomy assessment, UK SDR substantiation)
• Maintain the reporting RACI and align stakeholders to deadlines
• Define scope and boundary for each cycle and maintain the applicability matrix
• Translate material topics into disclosure workstreams and track with topic owners
• Aggregate data from functional owners into the consolidated dataset and validate with ESG Data Coordinators
• Track sustainability targets and actions, explain variances in disclosures
• Maintain understanding of policy underpinning material topics for accurate reflection
• Support drafting of sustainability sections with Corporate Communications
• Coordinate technical and assurance reviews, manage version control and internal logs
• Assemble the unified assurance pack and support auditor requests and sign-off
• Capture lessons learned and feed them into next-year templates and guidance
