Overview

As Lead Buyer in IT, you will drive end-to-end procurement across software, services and hardware, balancing cost, quality and risk. You’ll lead large IT sourcing projects and support category managers in an international context. The role emphasizes strong stakeholder engagement, robust negotiations and governance compliance. Pay / Benefits

• salary circa 45,000 - 55,000
• hybrid on-site 2–3 days per week

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT procurement across software, SaaS, services and hardware
• Own large procurement projects and support category managers to meet cost, quality, and risk targets
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders across the UK and Europe
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to define requirements, develop sourcing strategies and run tenders
• Negotiate to secure best-value contracts and robust terms
• Support governance, compliance and documentation in regulated procurement environments
• Participate in international team meetings and travel as needed

Key requirements

• Experience in IT procurement or strong indirect procurement with interest in IT
• Knowledge of sourcing and contract management across IT categories (software, SaaS, services, networks, cyber)
• Strong communication and relationship-building with influencers across stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver projects independently in a fast-moving setting
• Hybrid work pattern with 2–3 days on-site
• Willingness to travel internationally for meetings and projects
• Working towards MCIPS or willingness to pursue MCIPS (support available)
• British Citizen or Dual UK national with BPSS check ability after offer
