Overview

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will lead the mechanical installation on a £20m commercial fit-out, ensuring quality and timely delivery. You will work within a senior management team to supervise installations and commissioning, coordinating mechanical subcontractors and direct staff. The role focuses on delivering high-quality services and meeting client expectations on a large-scale project. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape the energy center installation and QA processes, contributing to the company’s reputation for service excellence.

Responsibilities

Manage and quality control the entire mechanical installation on the project
Directly oversee mechanical subcontractors and on-site staff
Coordinate commissioning activities for the energy center and related systems
Produce QA checklists and perform QA checks
Oversee installation of gas boilers, hot and cold water systems, sprinklers, MVHR, and underfloor heating
Ensure flushing, pressure testing, and pipework installation meet standards
Collaborate with senior management to align with project goals
Maintain safety and quality compliance throughout the installation

Key requirements

5 years’ experience as a mechanical project manager
Experience managing mechanical subcontractors and direct staff
Experience on commercial projects
Commercial mechanical installation and commissioning experience on large-scale projects
Qualifications to direct installation of energy center components (gas boilers, HIUs, etc.)
