CNC Mill/Turner - MATSURA

Overview

In this role you will operate a Matsuura MAM72 5-axis CNC machining centre to produce high‑precision aerospace components. You will work within the Prismatics team to deliver quality parts that meet aerospace standards, supporting continuous improvement and traceability. You contribute to safety, quality, and process efficiency in a high‑tech manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position in a culture that values trust, collaboration and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the Matsuura MAM72 5-axis machining centre
• Load programs, fixtures, tooling and components per engineering instructions
• Manufacture complex parts from aluminum, titanium, stainless steel and aerospace alloys
• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, and specifications
• Monitor tool wear, apply offsets and tool changes as needed
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions
• Maintain production records and traceability
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards

Key requirements

• Proven experience operating Matsuura MAM72 or similar 5-axis CNC machines
• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
• Experience machining to tight tolerances and surface finishes
• Knowledge of aerospace materials: aluminum alloys, titanium, stainless steels
• Experience using precision inspection equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and quality focus
