Overview

As a Director in Deloitte’s Financial Investors Tax & Legal team, you will lead UK and international M&A advisory and transaction tax work, guiding high-profile projects and client relationships. You’ll manage cross-functional teams, identify innovative solutions, and pursue new business opportunities. You’ll coach junior staff while continuing to deepen your own technical expertise. This role offers exposure to diverse global clients and a path to shape the firm’s growth in corporate transactions.

Responsibilities

• Advising UK and international clients on transaction tax and wider M&A issues
• Managing a portfolio of high-profile projects
• Due diligence in respect of mergers and acquisitions
• Ad hoc project work
• Fostering inclusive culture and leading diverse teams
• Owning and managing key elements of client relationships and pursuing new business opportunities

Key requirements

• ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification or experience
• Exposure to international clients
• Prior M&A experience in a professional services firm (preferred)
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to analyse information, identify issues and prioritise them
