In this role you will lead the private family law caseload within a friendly, supportive firm, acting as the dedicated family specialist. You will handle divorce, financial remedies, and private children matters, with advocacy experience desirable. The position offers autonomy, scope to grow the department, and long-term ownership potential. You’ll contribute to shaping the family practice as part of a collaborative team in Berkshire/South East.
Responsibilities
Manage a full caseload of private family law matters (divorce, financial remedies, private children disputes)
Provide advocacy support when needed and collaborate with a secretary
Own and develop the family department, with potential to scale
Act as the firm’s dedicated family specialist and advise on case strategy
Contribute to shaping the future of family work within the firm
Key requirements
2+ PQE
Qualified as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
Experience in private family law; advocacy experience desirable but not essential
