Overview

In this role you will own multiple tenders for commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects within a family-run contractor in Manchester. You will engage with clients from site visits to handover, build strong relationships, and support project handovers with Project Managers. This position offers autonomy, a steady pipeline of repeat work, and the chance to mentor a Junior Estimator while collaborating with senior leadership. The role emphasizes commercial awareness, fast-paced delivery, and impact through successful bid and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for office fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Manage a high volume of enquiries and two-stage tenders
• Attend site visits to scope works and meet clients
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Collaborate with Project Managers for smooth handovers
• Support and mentor a Junior Estimator
• Collaborate with Operations & Commercial Director

Key requirements

• 5+ years' estimating experience within office fit-out
• Experience managing multiple tenders simultaneously
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Confident in client-facing situations
• Organised, proactive and able to perform in a fast-paced environment
