Stock & Systems Manager

Overview

In this Stock & Systems Manager role, you will lead stock accuracy and system integrity at the Ryton-on-Dunsmore operation, coordinating inventory across locations to meet client KPIs. You’ll manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional partners to optimize the WMS and drive continuous improvements. The role emphasizes data-driven performance reviews, proactive issue resolution, and strong customer relationships. This is a hands-on leadership position in a fast-paced logistics environment with a focus on operational excellence and service levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of stock clerks, troubleshooters, and a WMS user to maintain stock integrity
• Oversee stock accuracy, balancing, variance investigations, and discrepancy resolution
• Ensure stock is available in correct locations to meet client service levels and contractual KPIs/SLAs
• Produce weekly and monthly performance reports, identify trends, and drive improvements
• Communicate with customers regularly, support reviews and MBRs on KPIs and queries
• Support development and testing of the WMS with central functions and a WMS Super User
• Drive operational efficiency, capacity planning, and resource utilization across the operation
• Contribute to projects including VAS, disposal activities, capacity reporting, and continuous improvements

Key requirements

• Experience in inventory management within a large, fast-paced logistics environment
• Knowledge and understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Strong cost-control, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Proven ability to coach and develop a high-performance team
