Overview

In this role you support safety engineering activities across complex systems, helping identify hazards and manage risks to ensure safety across projects. Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and manage hazards, risks and mitigation activities with technical teams
• Contribute to safety documentation (hazard logs, safety cases, safety plans)
• Lead and facilitate risk and hazard review workshops
• Support safety assurance across complex engineering systems and technologies
• Collaborate with engineering and assurance teams to gather evidence for safety compliance and acceptance

Key requirements

• Understanding of safety management processes and risk assessment techniques
• Experience across multiple stages of the engineering lifecycle
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and safety management systems
• Strong technical documentation and reporting skills
• Experience in software or systems safety beneficial
• Degree-qualified in Engineering or related STEM discipline
• Professional registration or chartered status desirable
