The Role

Are you an experienced Estimator looking for your next opportunity with a growing construction business?

Youll join a successful contractor delivering construction, refurbishment and fit-out projects across the South East, with a strong track record in the education sector.

Youll take ownership of tenders from initial review through to submission , working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to produce accurate and competitive bids.

What youll be doing

• Prepare estimates, cost plans and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations .
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
• Work with the wider team to ensure a smooth handover from tender to delivery .

The business specialises in education, refurbishment, fit-out and live environments , alongside commercial and new-build projects. Its education work includes school refurbishment, fire safety and compliance projects, often delivered while buildings remain operational.

What Youll Need

• Previous experience as an Estimator within construction, refurbishment or fit-out .
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and sequencing.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender information .
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Desirable

• Experience in education, commercial refurbishment or fit-out .
• Experience working in live environments .
• Good knowledge of Excel and estimating software.
