Bar Supervisor

We are looking to recruit two experienced Bar Supervisors to provide regular bar coverage at

our New Malden Sports Ground. The shifts are Weds 1pm to 6.30pm, Saturday 1pm to 7.30pm and Sunday 1pm to 6pm. Occasional additional shifts may be offered.

Successful candidates must have sufficient bar experience to operate and manage the bar independently. The Bar Supervisor may be required to work without another experienced bar member or supervisor present. Therefore, candidates must be confident taking full responsibility for the operation of the bar while on duty.

Key Responsibilities

The Bar Supervisors will be expected to independently carry out the day-to-day operation of the

bar, including:

? Opening and preparing the bar for service

? Serving customers independently

? Pouring and serving draught beers and other drinks

? Operating the till system

? Using the card payment machine

? Handling customer payments

? Maintaining a clean, safe and organised bar area

? Monitoring bar stock during service

? Providing good customer service

? Dealing appropriately with general customer queries or issues

? Ensuring the bar continues to operate smoothly throughout the shift

? Completing the appropriate closing or handover procedures at the end of the shift

Experience and skills:

Previous hands-on bar experience is essential.

Although candidates do not necessarily need to have previously held the formal title of Bar

Supervisor, they must have enough practical experience to confidently run the bar without

direct supervision.

The ideal candidates will be:

? Experienced in working behind a bar

? Confident pouring drinks, using tills and card payment machines

? Able to work independently

? Reliable and responsible

? Confident dealing with customers

? Able to take responsibility for the bar
