People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Southam, Warwickshire .

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for long-term career development.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• Monday to Friday: £17.00 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Start time: 06:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are:

• Completing Class 1 trunking runs and trailer swaps
• Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Ensuring compliance with all road traffic legislation and company procedures
• Conducting vehicle safety checks before and after each shift
• Communicating effectively with transport planners, dispatch teams and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects, incidents and maintenance requirements promptly
• Ensuring all loads are secured correctly and transported safely
• Maintaining accurate driving and tachograph records
• Delivering a professional and reliable service at all times

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:

• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• A minimum of 24 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• A valid CPC qualification card
• A valid digital tachograph card
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent knowledge of driver hours and Working Time Regulations
• A reliable and professional approach to work

Desirable Experience:

• Previous trunking experience
• Experience completing trailer swaps
• Experience working within a fast-paced transport environment

Training:

• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
