MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician

We are looking for a qualified MOT Tester who can also contribute to the servicing, maintenance and repair of cars and light commercial vehicles. A current MOT testing qualification is essential. We are open to applicants with different levels of workshop experience, so this could suit an experienced technician or someone earlier in their career who is already an authorised MOT tester and takes pride in doing careful, reliable work.

*The role*

- Carry out Class 4 MOT tests accurately and in accordance with current DVSA requirements

- Service, maintain, diagnose and repair cars and light commercial vehicles to a high standard

- Identify and clearly record faults, safety concerns and advisory work

- Complete job cards and vehicle records accurately

- Road-test vehicles where required and look after customers’ vehicles and property

- Help maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop

- Support the team in delivering excellent workmanship and customer service

*What we need from you*

- A current MOT testing qualification and authorisation to carry out Class 4 MOT tests

- A full UK driving licence

- Practical experience of vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair

- A careful, methodical approach and commitment to safe, high-quality work

- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team

- A relevant motor-vehicle qualification is preferred, although we will consider the overall skills and experience of each applicant

Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
