Vehicle Valeter / Yard Operative

Salary: £26,520 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am4pm, Friday 7am1pm

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Valeter / Yard Operative to join a busy and well-established business based in Barton-le-Clay.

This is a varied, hands-on role working with vehicles before they are dispatched to customers. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are clean, presentable and ready for delivery, as well as supporting the day-to-day running of the yard.

The Role

Your duties will include:

• Washing and cleaning vehicles ready for dispatch
• Cleaning vehicle interiors to a high standard
• Preparing vehicles for customer delivery
• Booking vehicles in when they arrive on site
• Booking vehicles out when they are ready for delivery
• Moving vehicles safely around the yard
• Maintaining vehicle batteries
• Collecting parts from local suppliers when required
• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy and organised
• Carrying out general yard and vehicle preparation duties
• Supporting the wider team with other reasonable duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and takes pride in their work .

You will ideally:

• Take pride in keeping vehicles clean and presentable
• Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Be physically fit and comfortable with lifting and carrying
• MUST HAVE DRIVING LICENCE

Previous experience in vehicle valeting, vehicle preparation, yard work, logistics or a similar hands-on environment would be beneficial, but the right attitude and work ethic are equally important.
