Job Title: Store Manager
Location: Newquay
Basic Salary: £31,000 per annum, rising to £32,000–£33,000 following successful completion of a six-month probation. The post-probation salary will be agreed at offer stage, based on experience.
OTE: Approximately £40,600 per annum initially, based on a realistic performance bonus of £800 per month.
Hours: 40 hours per week, working five days across Monday to Saturday.
Trading Hours: 9 am5 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am5:30 pm Saturday and 10 am-4 pm on Sundays.
Start Date: Planned for the new year.
Priority Recruitment are working with a leading telecoms franchise to recruit a hands-on Store Manager in Newquay .
This is an opportunity for an experienced manager from telecoms or another sales-led retail background to take ownership of a store, develop its team and drive commercial performance.
Youll lead through your own contribution on the shop floor: advising customers, completing sales, processing transactions and supporting colleagues with their sales conversations. Alongside this, youll manage daily operations, coach your team and maintain high standards of customer service.

More about the role:

• Lead by example on the shop floor, actively selling mobile plans, handsets, broadband and accessories.
• Learn and confidently use the stores systems to process sales and customer transactions accurately.
• Provide second-facing support, joining sales conversations to help colleagues answer questions, handle objections and close sales.
• Coach and motivate the team through practical feedback, product training and support during customer interactions.
• Take ownership of store targets and KPIs, reviewing performance and acting on opportunities to improve.
• Manage daily store operations, staff rotas and shop-floor coverage.
• Oversee stock, deliveries, merchandising and store presentation.
• Resolve customer queries and escalations professionally, maintaining high standards of service.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures and brand standards.
• Build a supportive team environment with clear expectations and accountability.

Successful Applicant:

• Proven management experience within telecoms or another sales-led retail environment.
• A strong track record of delivering personal sales results and improving team performance.
• Comfortable working alongside the team, serving customers and completing sales personally.
• Experience coaching colleagues, handling objections and supporting customers through buying decisions.
• Willing to learn the products, systems and processing requirements of a telecoms store.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers and colleagues.
• Organised and proactive, with confidence managing store operations and commercial priorities.
• Available to work 40 hours over five days per week, including Saturdays as required by the rota.
