An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Plant Manager to take responsibility for maintenance teams and operations across the company's manufacturing & Production facilities .

As Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Plant Manager , you will lead and develop a skilled maintenance team, ensuring all production machinery & equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.

This is leadership role focused on preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, plant reliability, reducing downtime, root cause analysis and continuous improvement .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the maintenance team, including technicians, electricians and mechanics, while promoting a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes to improve plant reliability, equipment performance, production efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Lead root cause analysis , corrective actions, maintenance shutdowns, major repairs and engineering projects.
• Manage CMMS systems, maintenance records, spare parts, budgets, contractors, suppliers and external service providers .
• Monitor key maintenance KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, equipment uptime and OEE to drive performance improvements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities meet HSE, ISO and company safety standards , including safety audits, risk assessments and inspections.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to improve manufacturing performance and introduce Lean Manufacturing, TPM and Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) practices.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, reliability and continuous improvement.

About You

You will ideally have experience as a Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Plant Manager, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Engineering Manager, Senior Maintenance Engineer or Engineering Maintenance Manager , with a strong understanding of manufacturing plant and machinery.

You should have:

• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge, with experience across pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC-controlled systems .
• Relevant engineering qualifications, including 18th Edition , with experience using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office .
• Good understanding of industrial H&S, maintenance best practice, contractors, suppliers and budgets .
• Proven ability to improve plant reliability, equipment uptime and maintenance performance , with strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM or RCM is advantageous, as are CMRP or Certified Maintenance Manager qualifications .
