Electrical Lead

About the Role

A growing renewable energy organisation is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to lead the electrical function across utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects .

Youll provide technical leadership across design, construction and commissioning, manage DNO relationships and develop the companys electrical and commissioning capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the electrical and commissioning function.
• Provide technical oversight across Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Manage DNO relationships, G99, HV works and grid energisation.
• Review designs, SLDs, RAMS and technical documentation.
• Oversee HV/LV commissioning and SCADA/inverter integration.
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671, CDM and relevant standards.
• Support ISO accreditation and develop electrical procedures.
• Recruit and develop electrical and commissioning staff.

About You

• 5+ years electrical experience within renewable energy.
• Strong utility-scale Solar PV and BESS experience.
• Previous senior/lead electrical management experience.
• Strong DNO, G99, HV and commissioning experience.
• Level 3 Electrical qualification and 18th Edition .
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
• ECS Gold Card.
• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable: HV AP, energy storage qualification, HNC/HND/degree, NICEIC/ECA and AutoCAD/ETAP experience.
