Machine Operative Temp to Perm

Quest Employment is currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a successful, small family-run business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and dedicated individual looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent following a successful temporary period.

Hours of Work

Monday Thursday: 8:45am 5:00pm
Friday: 8:45am 4:00pm
30-minute unpaid break

The Role

As a Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring machinery used to produce foil wraps , while also supporting the wider warehouse and production operation when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring machinery to produce foil wraps.
• Reading picking sheets and production requirements to ensure orders are produced accurately.
• Checking products and orders to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Completing general warehouse duties as required.
• Supporting with picking and preparing orders.
• Keeping the machinery, work areas and wider site clean and organised.
• Following health & safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Carrying out general cleaning duties and ensuring the site remains tidy.
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational requirements.
• FLT experience would be advantageous but is not essential .

• Comfortable reading picking sheets and following production requirements.
• Safety-conscious and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organised workplace.
• Flexible and willing to support with general warehouse duties when required.
• Looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent.

Previous machine operating or warehouse experience would be beneficial, but the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are key.
