We are recruiting for an experienced Cyber Strategy Manager to join a major organisation operating within a highly regulated, Critical National Infrastructure environment.

This is a strategic role with significant organisational visibility, responsible for helping shape and deliver a long-term cyber security strategy across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments. You will work closely with senior leadership, technical teams and key external stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience, improve maturity and ensure cyber security supports wider business and digital transformation objectives. The Role

You will take a leading role in developing cyber strategy and translating complex security, regulatory and operational requirements into clear strategic priorities. Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining a long-term cyber security strategy aligned with organisational objectives and recognised national frameworks.
• Leading strategic planning across cyber risk, resilience and capability development.
• Overseeing cyber maturity assessments and driving continuous improvement.
• Coordinating cross-functional cyber initiatives spanning governance, awareness, innovation and transformation.
• Working with senior leadership to embed cyber security into wider business planning and decision-making.
• Monitoring emerging threats, technologies and regulatory developments to shape future strategy.
• Supporting cyber investment planning, prioritisation and allocation of resources.
• Representing the organisation with relevant government, regulatory and industry stakeholders. Cyber Strategy Manager

About You

We are looking for someone who can operate at both a strategic and practical level , with the credibility to engage senior stakeholders while maintaining a strong understanding of the technical and regulatory cyber landscape.

You should bring proven experience within cyber strategy, governance or risk management , ideally gained within a regulated, high-consequence or security-conscious environment. You'll have a strong understanding of recognised cyber security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and CAF , alongside experience leading cross-functional cyber initiatives.

Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly the ability to take complex technical or regulatory requirements and translate them into clear strategic direction for senior stakeholders. Knowledge of UK cyber regulation and guidance will also be important. Cyber Strategy Manager

Experience within Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) , Operational Technology/Industrial Control Systems, cyber investment planning or major digital transformation programmes would be particularly advantageous. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer would also be welcomed. Cyber Strategy Manager
