Position: Accounts SeniorLocation: NewportHours of Work: Monday – FridaySalary: Up to 60,000 (D.O.E)About the Role:We’re partnering with a well-established accountancy practice in Newport seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Senior. This is a varied role combining accounts preparation, audit involvement, and team leadership responsibilities.You will manage your own client portfolio while overseeing and supporting a small team of approximately five staff, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and within deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both technical work and people management, and is looking to progress within a growing and forward-thinking firm.Key Responsibilities:Prepare financial statements and accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companiesLead and support audits from planning through to completionManage and review the work of a team of circa 5 staff, providing guidance and mentorshipEnsure all assignments are completed accurately and in line with deadlines and compliance standardsPrepare and review tax returnsBuild and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contactAssist in improving internal processes and team efficiencyKey Requirements:Proven experience within an accountancy practice in a similar roleAudit experience is essentialPrevious team management or supervisory experienceExcellent knowledge of accounting and tax regulationsProficient in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or XeroStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesACCA / ACA Qualified Benefits:25 days holiday + birthday offHybrid working (2 days from home after probation)Career progression opportunities within a growing firmNext steps:If this sounds like a great opportunity and you can demonstrate a proven track record in delivering the above, then please click Apply to upload your CV for consideration.Alternatively, contact Clarissa Hough on or #ASRAF
