Financial Services (Funds) Regulatory Lawyer

Jameson Legal is instructed on a new Financial Services Regulatory role in London with our US firm client, to work on high-quality, non-contentious advisory work for leading investment managers and funds. The role will focus on UK and EU financial services regulation, offering early responsibility, strong Partner exposure and involvement in complex cross-border mandates.You will advise on the full range of financial services regulation, including AIFMD, MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, SFDR and MAR, covering regulatory structuring, governance, marketing, trading and systems and controls.Key responsibilities include:Advising on FCA Handbook and FSMA frameworks (including CASS, conduct, and prudential rules)Interpreting MiFID II and AIFMD requirements, including marketing and disclosure obligationsDrafting and reviewing client documentation (IMAs, terms, advisory agreements, compliance policies, SMCR/AML frameworks)Supporting authorisations, variations of permission, and perimeter analyses for new products/servicesAdvising on SMCR governance, conduct risk, and senior management briefingsAssisting with regulatory due diligence and transactional support (including change-in-control analysis)Collaborating across London, the US and Asia on cross-border matters.Candidate profile:2-4 years’ experience from a leading FS Regulatory practice (advisory-focussed)Strong knowledge of FCA/PRA regimes, FSMA, MiFID II, AIFMD and related UK/EU regulationExcellent drafting and ability to translate complex rules into clear adviceStrong communicator with excellent academics and attention to detail.Location: LondonRegion: London (Greater)Country: UKSalary: 200,000 - 280,000Specialisation: Financial ServicesSector: Law firmRole Position: AssociateContract Type: PermanentHours: Full TimeExperience Level: Mid Level (2-5 years)PQE: 1-3 years, 4-6 yearsReference Number: LWK-PL-18159
