Job ID: 20570Salary: 60,000 + PackageLocation: ManchesterRegion: North WestLooking to speak to an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing civil engineering contractor delivering major highways and infrastructure projects across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional with strong highways and civils experience to play a key role in the successful delivery of projects ranging from local authority works to national infrastructure frameworks.Working closely with operational teams, clients, and subcontractors, you will be responsible for managing commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring profitability, compliance, and strong client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the commercial aspects of highways and civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final accountPrepare, submit, and negotiate interim valuations and final accountsMonitor project costs, variations, forecasts, and cash flowProcure and manage subcontractor packages and paymentsSupport project teams with commercial advice and contractual mattersIdentify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunitiesEnsure compliance with NEC contracts and company proceduresProduce accurate monthly CVRs and commercial reportsLiaise with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners to maintain strong working relationshipsRequirementsPrevious experience as a Quantity Surveyor within highways and civil engineering projectsStrong understanding of NEC contractsExperience working on highways maintenance, infrastructure, road improvement, or associated civils schemesExcellent commercial awareness and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred)
