JOB REF:5389.THE ROLE:• Excellent opportunity to become part of a firm renowned for delivering high-quality legal advice across a broad range of privately funded and legally aided services.• You will manage your own criminal defence caseload, representing clients from the earliest stages of proceedings through to court appearances while delivering practical, professional and client-focused legal advice.• Responsible for a varied caseload to include representing clients at Police Stations and Magistrates' Courts, participating in the out-of-hours Police Station rota, conducting your own advocacy wherever appropriate and developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.SKILLS REQUIRED:• Applications are welcomed from Solicitors or Legal Executives with a minimum of 3 years' PQE in Criminal Law.• Duty Solicitor accreditation, or a genuine willingness to obtain accreditation if not already qualified.• The ability to manage a busy caseload independently and work with a high degree of autonomy.• Strong advocacy skills and confidence conducting your own hearings.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• A proactive, flexible and commercially minded approach to practice development.ON OFFER:• Competitive remuneration package• Hybrid working arrangements• Genuine career progressionTo apply contact Melanie Daly at eNL on or email with your CV, or simply call for a confidential discussion.eNL will never share your CV with a third party without your express permission.
