Location: CardiffSalary: 65K- 75K per YearContract: PermanentType: Full TimeReference: SM_CARD_ Posted: October 9, 2026Site Manager required on a permanent basis to join on with a tier 1 Main Contractor to work on the delivery of a 250m new build arena, specifically to manage the arena's dry-lining package. This project has 2 & 1/2 years left to run before completion.This contractor has set up a regional office in Cardiff and has a future pipeline of work in the South Wales & Bristol area's. Main Responsibilities and Duties: Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality proceduresSubcontract Packages/sections of workQuality and delivery within budget and programmeClient liaison and reportingPlanning and designOverseeing Engineering/Quality/Record keepingRisk assessments and Method statementsManage site inductionsDraw up and monitor short term programmesOrganise site logisticsAwareness of budget, cost control and cost recovery, ensuring that expenditure is in line with the contract budget, and that resources are utilised efficientlyMonitor effectiveness of the H & S Management SystemManage sub-contractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that contractual arrangements are achievedProduce and regularly review the project programme to ensure completion on time under the supervision of a Project ManagerAchieve quality/programmeEnsure site audits are undertaken and take appropriate action on the findingsSkills and Abilities: Person management/organising labourExcellent team player and team leader, able to work competently and independently without supervisionAbility to work under pressure to deadlinesCapable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarityTeam management experienceRead drawingsKnowledge of Dry-lining systemsBenefitsOctopus Energy Car SchemeHoliday carry-over26 days of Annual LeaveAdditional Annual Leave PurchaseSeason Ticket LoansProfessional Membership - will cover the cost of two professional memberships per year.Maternity support - 26 weeks full payPaternity support - 4 weeks full pay.Long service awards
