The business also operates across groundworks, civil engineering and highways sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS who enjoys both the commercial management of live projects and the challenge of pricing and winning new workThe RoleReporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will take responsibility for the commercial delivery of multiple schemes whilst also supporting tender submissions and estimating activitiesKey responsibilities include:Full commercial management of civil engineering and groundworks projects from contract award through to final accountPreparing, reviewing and submitting valuations, variations and final accountsCost reporting, forecasting and cashflow managementSubcontract procurement, negotiation and account managementPricing and tendering for new opportunities, including preparing estimates and reviewing subcontractor quotationsIdentifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycleAdministering contracts under both JCT and NEC forms of contractLiaising with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure successful project deliverySupporting and mentoring a Junior Quantity Surveyor, helping develop their commercial and contractual knowledgeContributing to the continued growth of the business through commercial and pre-construction expertiseAbout YouWe are keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have:Proven experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, groundworks or roads & sewers projectsStrong knowledge of JCT and NEC contractsExperience managing projects commercially from inception through to final accountTendering and estimating experience, with the ability to price work confidently and accuratelyStrong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skillsThe ability to mentor and develop junior team membersA proactive, hands-on approach and the desire to play a significant role within a growing businessWhat's On Offer?Senior position within a respected and growing contractorVaried mix of live project commercial management and pre-construction activityLong-term career progression opportunitiesSupportive and close-knit management teamCompetitive salary and benefits packageWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
