This multi-accredited and well-established contractor has a strong reputation for delivering major highways and infrastructure projects and offers a strong pipeline of work as well as excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. As part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Peterborough office with flexible and hybrid working.Your new roleAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will report to the Commercial Manager and take responsibility for the commercial performance of the project, ensuring robust cost control and value recovery.Key responsibilities will include:Managing project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting cost to completionAdministering NEC contracts, including subcontract management and contractual correspondenceProcuring subcontract packages and preparing tender documentationManaging variations and compensation events, including delay analysis and loss & expense claimsProviding detailed cost analysis and maintaining transparent financial reportingBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships through regular engagementLiaising closely with site teams to support effective project deliveryLeading or supporting value engineering activitiesManaging commercial meetings and representing the business professionallyForecasting cash flow and supporting procurement strategies.This is a varied and hands-on role where you will play a key part in safeguarding the commercial interests of the business while contributing to successful project outcomes.What you'll need to succeedTo excel in this role, you will bring:Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar qualification) or experience equivalentProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment, ideally in civil engineering or highwaysStrong working knowledge of NEC contractsExcellent negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skillsSound communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholdersFull UK driving licence.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will receive:Starting salary up to 60,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)Company car (with fuel card) or car allowance36 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays)PensionLife assurancePrivate medical insuranceEnhanced family-friendly benefitsRetail discountsMultiple health and wellbeing benefitsExposure to high-profile and rewarding projectsSupportive and collaborative work environmentClear pathways for professional development and career progressionOpportunity to advance your career with an industry-leading Tier 1 contractor and more.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role and meet the criteria above, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
