Maranatha Christian School is a warm, close‑knit community where staff and pupils genuinely know and care for one another. Our small size allows us to build something deeply personal, deeply relational, and deeply rooted in faith. We are committed to cultivating a school where Christ is central, where children are known as individuals, and where learning is creative, ambitious and joyfully lived out.

We are seeking a creative, committed Primary Teacher with a living Christian faith. Someone who loves teaching, loves children, and thrives in the lively, adaptable world of a small Christian school.

This is a rare opportunity to join a school in active growth and help shape its future. Rather than fit into a rigid system, you will have space to influence curriculum, build learning experiences, and contribute meaningfully to a school culture grounded in Scripture, prayer and excellence.

Why Maranatha?

• A warm, relational Christian community where faith is lived out daily.
• Small class sizes that allow real pastoral care and tailored, responsive teaching.
• A committed staff team passionate about discipleship, character formation and high academic standards.
• A creative, evolving curriculum with space for innovation and project‑based learning.
• Supportive leadership and trustees who value biblical wisdom, prayerful decision‑making, and long‑term school development.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a strong and active Christian faith.
• Holds QTS and has proven primary teaching experience.
• Can teach confidently across mixed ages and abilities.
• Is able to think outside the box in terms of teaching and learning.
• Is flexible, adaptable and thrives in a small‑school environment.
• Brings warmth, creativity and high expectations to the classroom.

In this role you will:

• Teach all subjects including English and Maths.
• Deliver a rich, creative afternoon curriculum shaped by hands‑on and cross‑curricular learning.
• Help design and develop a vibrant Christian primary curriculum.
• Play an active part in whole‑school life, nurturing pupils in their daily walk with Jesus.
• Contribute to a culture where children are encouraged to discover who they are in Christ and to grow in their individual gifts and calling.

How to apply: Email or call . Safer Recruitment: All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and full safeguarding procedures.

Given the evolving needs of our growing school, the successful candidate will be expected to show flexibility regarding reasonable adjustments to the role as the school develops.

This post has an Occupational Requirement, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, for the postholder to be a practising Christian who is able to fully support, uphold and model the Christian ethos of Maranatha Christian School.
