Home Care Assistant

As aCare Assistant , you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to live independently and comfortably within their own homes. You will be visiting clients inAlderley Edge & Wilmslow . We are looking for someone reliable, friendly and caring to make a difference to our clients' lives. You must live in or very close to the East Cheshire area.

Job Description

You will visit the sameregular clients each week so you can really get to know each other and make a meaningful connection. When you have an initial call with a client who is new to you, you will have accompanied and introduced to them by a colleague who knows them well, so you canreally get to know every client and their needs .

At Home Instead, we know that 15 or 30 minute calls aren't long enough for you to offer exceptional care. That's why we haveminimum 1-hour calls to ensure you can take your time with your clients.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to visit your regular clients andoffer support according to their care plan and their wishes.
• Fostercompanionship and provideemotional support to clients, promoting a sense of wellbeing.
• Support withmaking meals andkeeping the home clean and tidy .
• Allow clients to maintain their dignity whilst assisting them withpersonal care tasks such as getting dressed, for those who require your assistance.
• Take clients out to places of their choice, like to thelocal shops or a cafe.

Requirements:

• Experience is not required; we offer comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
• You must bereliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent, dependable service.
• Must have acaring, friendly disposition to create lasting relationships.
• Must have avalid driving licence and have your own dependable transport.
• UK residency is essential, and we cannot provide working visas.
• Must have good workingflexibility including alternate weekends.
• Earn£13.40 - 14.40 per hour (this is doubled on bank holidays) plus 35p/mile mileage reimbursement .
