Role Overview

As a Line Technician in a fast‑paced FMCG environment, you will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of production efficiency, quality, and safety. This position requires strong technical expertise combined with key competencies such as attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. You will work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating effective communication, adaptability under pressure, and a commitment to delivering consistent results in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Working Hours

41.25 hours per week, on a two‑weekly rotating shift cycle as follows:

Shift

• 06:00–14:15 - 14:00–22:15
• 14:00–22:15 - 06:00–14:15

Weekend coverage may be required depending on business needs and will be distributed fairly across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production line equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs on machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly.
• Conduct line changeovers and setups according to production schedules.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Record and report equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements.
• Support root cause analysis for recurring technical issues.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with LT Foods UK’s health & safety, food safety, and quality assurance standards.
• Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly to the Production Manager or Shift Supervisor.
• Support the implementation of safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Participate in health and safety briefings and training sessions as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years within FMCG or high‑speed manufacturing.
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
