Overview

Our client is looking to recruit a Kitchen Manager Head Chef for one of their restaurants in Weston-Super-Mare.

In return you will receive an excellent salary up to £28,000 plus £4,000 bonus, 28 days annual holidays, company paid courses, pension, mental & dental care, cycle scheme, discounts with major retailers and other company related benefits.

Responsibilities

Lead a brigade of 8 chefs to achieve existing high standards and deliver exceptional service.
Manage back of house systems, including ordering, stock control and achieving gross profit targets.
Prepare rosters and ensure health & safety controls and implementation.
Work as a specialist in modern English and modern European cuisine.
Operate in a high-volume pub environment, potentially serving 200–300 covers on busy days.
Produce meals using ingredients chosen by the development chef and follow provided specifications.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in the branded restaurant or pub industry.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen and deliver exceptional service.
Experience in a high-volume gastro pub background preferred.
Strong understanding of back of house operations and ability to lead a team from the front.
Specialist in modern English and modern European cuisine.
Must be eligible to live and work in the UK without restrictions to apply.

Conditions & Benefits

Hours: up to 48 hours per week, five days out of seven.
Salary: up to £28,000 plus £4,000 bonus.
