Drone Operations Planner & Field Coordinator
Chichester
A technology firm in the UK is looking for an Operations Coordinator to manage flight scheduling and crew allocation for a drone inspection program.
As Operations Coordinator you’ll be at the centre of the flight operations team organising the routine delivery of our drone inspection programme serving critical national infrastructure.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll face and overcome daily challenges as part of, and collaboration with, an ambitious and dynamic Operations team.
To keep flight operations running smoothly and delivering high quality results to clients in an efficient manner you’ll have to effectively schedule multiple flight crews in the field by balancing the constraints of weather, client priorities, crew capability and fatigue whilst providing and supporting them with travel itineraries and logistical arrangements.
In your role you’ll be able to increase the quality of the Operations team output by acting as an effective client interface ensuring feedback is incorporated into processes and best practices. Flight crew quality of life will also increase as a result of your effective scheduling, forecasting, planning and field experience.
To ensure you fully understand the operations, you will be trained to fly our autonomous drones, and will spend around 20% of your time out in the field delivering missions. You don’t need to have previous drone experience, just good technical and IT skills, and a willingness to learn.
Depending on capability this role has scope for expansion into team administration and ownership of additional facilities and functions which make the Operations team and the wider company effective.
We're building the operating system for autonomous drone operations, enabling advanced drones to be controlled remotely from central control rooms. Our technology is transforming critical infrastructure management through safe, effective autonomous inspections and monitoring at scale.
You’ll join a collaborative, multi-national team where your coordination directly supports real-world missions that protect critical infrastructure. Experience the variety of a scaling startup environment with the rewarding impact of seeing operations you've orchestrated succeed every day.
