Serious and fatal injuries can cause huge disruption to the lives of everyone involved. Serious injuries are hugely traumatic and need to be handled with utmost care and expertise. Our serious injury team prides itself on making a real difference. We help our clients to live their life as fully as possible after a serious injury. We have years of experience helping people claim compensation for serious injuries and have specialist teams across the UK.
Irwin Mitchell is one of the few firms to offer a rare opportunity to specialise in this high-profile work and it is a deeply rewarding area of personal injury law.
You will join Partners James Davies and Deborah Rose who lead the team of specialist serious injury lawyers at our Bristol and Cardiff offices. The team is dedicated to ensuring that those people who suffer life-changing injuries through no fault of their own, receive appropriate and enabling rehabilitation to promote independence where possible.
Your role will involve but is not limited to:
Supporting case handlers in the running of the cases by assisting case handlers with litigation processes to achieve appropriate resolutions for our clients.

• Supporting with the administrative elements of case progression
• Achieving time recording targets to ensure profitable working.
• Attending and contributing to team/practice area meetings and engaging with colleagues to ensure team objectives achieved.
• Engaging in Business Development activities where appropriate
• Excellent client care and inter-personal skills, operating with integrity and showing empathy and compassion to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances.
• A friendly, enthusiastic, and can-do approach including working regularly across two office locations (Bristol and Cardiff) when required as well as remotely.
• Enthusiasm in building a career as a Paralegal, whether you have previous experience or not.
