As an Investigative Officer within our Central Investigation Team (CIT), you will play a vital role in helping progress criminal investigations, supporting victims and witnesses, gathering evidence, and contributing to positive outcomes for local communities.

About The Role

As a Police Staff Investigator, you will support the investigation of crime and contribute to delivering an effective service to victims and communities.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Managing and progressing investigations under appropriate supervision.
• Gathering, reviewing, and evaluating information and evidence.
• Obtaining statements from victims and witnesses.
• Conducting investigative enquiries and following lines of investigation.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating police systems.
• Preparing case files and supporting the progression of investigations through the criminal justice process.
• Liaising with colleagues, partner agencies, and criminal justice organisations.
• Keeping victims informed and ensuring they receive a professional, compassionate, and victim‑centred service.
• Identifying opportunities to progress investigations and achieve positive outcomes.
• Ensuring all enquiries are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation, policy, and procedure.

You must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
