Imaging Support Assistant - Flexible Shifts (Bank)
Birmingham
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Imaging Department Support Worker to join a patient-centred imaging service.
The Imaging Department Support Worker will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team involved in the provision of a patient centred imaging service.
The post holder will assist the Directorate's radiographic and other qualified staff in maintaining the patient environment to the highest standard and ensuring patient movement to and from the examination rooms is carried out safely, efficiently and in a dignified manner. Where appropriate the post holder will assist clinical members of the team during radiological examinations and procedures.
This position forms part of a 24/7 imaging service and requires successful candidates to participate fully in the departmental shift rota. Regular night shift and day working is an essential requirement of this role and is necessary to ensure the provision of safe, effective, and continuous patient care.
To ensure that the service is maintained to the best possible standard, it may be necessary, from time to time, for the post holder to be moved to alternative duties within his/her/their competence. The holder of this post will work shifts as required with an expectation to provide cover for other Imaging Support Workers absences to meet service needs.
This role is offered on a bank (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible option but it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.
