Production Supervisor

Certain Advantage is partnering with a well-established Aerospace engineering business to recruit an experienced Production Supervisor . In this role, you will be responsible for supervising a team of operators and apprentices, including work allocation, enablement within a metal manufacturing environment.

• Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place.
• Production supervisor within a metallic sheet metal or machining manufacturing environment

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for supervising a team of operators and apprentices - including work allocation, enablement
• Working closely with the production schedulers to plan capacity and ensure that the required operations are completed on time
• Ensure that lean manufacturing operational practices are in place and that 8 waste are eliminated
• Actively resolve operational issues and ensure high levels of quality are achieved

Personal skills/qualifications:

• Proactiveness, timely problem solving, effective decision making, pragmatic and solution based forward thinking
• Must be highly professional when interacting internally and externally; verbally + email communication and be able to manage time and tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Due to the nature of the work, you must have the ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC) - must meet standard UK nationality/residency eligibility requirements for site access.
