Prospero Teaching is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Maths and Science Tutor to work with learners across Southport, Birkdale and the wider Sefton area.
This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated educator who can make challenging topics accessible and help students develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed academically.
Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored Maths and Science tuition.
Support learners with curriculum content and exam preparation.
Identify gaps in subject knowledge and adapt lessons accordingly.
Develop revision strategies and independent study skills.
Encourage positive engagement and build learner confidence.
Track progress and work towards individual learning targets.
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
Strong Maths and/or Science subject knowledge.
UK classroom teaching experience.
Experience supporting students with SEND, complex needs or disengaged pupils.
Be creative, patient and willing to think outside the box.
To be eligible for this role, the Maths & Science Tutor must:
Hold the right to work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional child-related references.
