Cardiff University, School of Optometry and Vision Sciences is seeking to recruit a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join our supportive academic community.
The School of Optometry and Vision Sciences is proud to be internationally recognised for the quality of its teaching and research. You will work with internationally renowned experts in their field in a purpose-designed building, which brings together teaching, research, and patient-facing clinics together in the one place.
For this post, we are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking GOC registered optometrist who has a passion for education with an ability to develop, deliver and evaluate a range of undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules and programmes.
You should have a postgraduate advanced qualification in Independent Prescribing and/or significant experience in this specialist area.
Cardiff University is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity and to creating an inclusive working environment. We especially welcome and encourage applications from those from under-represented groups within the University workforce, such as those who identify as LGBT +, Ethnic Minority or those with disabilities. In supporting our employees to achieve a balance between their work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh, and an application submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
Cardiff University is a signatory to the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), which means that in hiring and promotion decisions we will evaluate applicants on the quality of their research, not publication metrics or the identity of the journal in which the research is published.
