Class Teacher + Phase Leader (maternity Cover)

Key responsibilities

• Excellent classroom practitioner with all that entails.
• To motivate, inspire and support all staff, governors, pupils and parents.
• Leadership of phonics or other curriculum area.
• To lead, develop and enhance the teaching practice of others across the school.
• To be responsible for securing the highest possible standards of pupil achievement across the Phase.
• To be accountable for the strategic leadership and management of the Phase.
• To be a line of communication between the Phase staff and the Leadership Team.

What you’ll bring:

• Cheerful disposition with empathy & understanding of children aged 4-11.
• Be a strong experienced teacher ensuring that every child can make good progress across the curriculum.
• Active team player, adaptable and willing to learn and go the extra mile for our pupils and community.
• Calm, patient and able to communicate effectively.
• Proven leadership skills or potential, including managing people and a budget.
• A working knowledge of strategies and techniques for raising pupils, notably SEN, EAL and Pupil Premium.
