Vehicle Technician – Fish Brothers Toyota

Build Your Career with One of the World’s Most Respected Automotive Brands

At Fish Brothers, we’ve been helping the people of Swindon with their motoring needs for more than 75 years. As a multi-franchise dealer group, we’re proud of our strong reputation — but it’s our people who make the real difference. Many of our team have built long and successful careers with us, and we’re now looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our Toyota team.

Toyota is one of the world’s best-known and most respected automotive brands, with a reputation built on quality, reliability and innovation. As a pioneer in hybrid technology and with an expanding range of electrified vehicles, it’s an exciting time to develop your technical career with the brand.

Why Join Fish Brothers Toyota?

Work with a World-Leading Brand

Toyota has been at the forefront of vehicle technology for decades, particularly in hybrid and electrified powertrains. You’ll work across a varied model range while developing your skills as automotive technology continues to evolve.

Manufacturer Training & Career Development

You’ll have access to Toyota manufacturer training and ongoing development to keep your technical knowledge up to date. Whether you want to strengthen your diagnostic expertise, develop your knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles or progress further within the workshop, we’ll support your development.

You’ll be part of an experienced workshop team with access to the latest diagnostic equipment, manufacturer systems and technical information. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing the job properly and shares our focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to Toyota manufacturer standards
• Diagnose and investigate vehicle faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
• Complete warranty repairs and associated paperwork accurately
• Carry out vehicle health checks and clearly report any findings
• Work efficiently to meet workshop requirements while maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Support colleagues across the workshop to deliver an excellent experience for our customers
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with manufacturer and company procedures

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Service & Repair, or an equivalent qualification
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership, independent garage or similar environment
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• A positive, team-focused approach
• Pride in the quality of your work
• A full UK driving licence

Previous Toyota experience would be an advantage, but it isn’t essential. If you’re an experienced Technician from another manufacturer or an independent workshop and you’re looking for the opportunity to develop your career with Toyota, we’d be very happy to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity to join an established Toyota dealership, develop your skills with a globally recognised manufacturer and build a long‑term career with Fish Brothers.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

At Fish Brothers, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects the customers we serve and the community we’re part of. We believe that everyone, regardless of background, identity or experience, should feel valued, respected and empowered to thrive.

We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and encourage people from underrepresented backgrounds to apply. If you require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know — we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
